How do I get out of Satanism?

If you've done any of the occult practices, you have committed a serious sin against God. The only way out is turning away from it and trusting Jesus. Immediately break all ties to any occult activity you're a part of. Find an empty garbage can and burn all your occult literature and symbols.

James 4:7 says, "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

Here's how:

• Verbally declare your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ask his forgiveness for your sin and acknowledge Him as your Lord and Savior. Thank Him for setting you free.

• Renounce (by name) every occult practice, false religion, or cult you have participated in. Do this out loud. Be specific.

• Deny any allegiance to the devil, his demonic host, and the occult. Do this out loud.

• Read Ephesians 6:10-17 out loud and "put on" each piece of God's armor.

• Firmly state your resistance of Satanic influence. On the basis of Christ's authority, tell Satan to get lost.

Use this "prayer of resistance" whenever you feel afraid and sense the attack of evil forces:

"I renounce any and all allegiance I have ever given to Satan and his host of wicked spirits. I refuse to be influenced or intimidated by them. I refuse to be used by them in any way whatsoever. I reject their attacks upon my body, sprit, soul, and mind. I resist them in the name of my Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, the Champion over evil. I stand secure in the power of Jesus. He defeated Satan and all his powers on the cross. I stand upon the promises of God's Word. In humble faith, I do here and now put on the whole armor of God than enables me to stand firm against the schemes of the devil."

If after doing all the above, you have any of the following problems, see a pastor or strong Christian who is knowledgeable about spiritual warfare. Don't be afraid. "The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). "They overcame him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..." (Revelation 12:11).

JAMES 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

EPHESIANS 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
