The most effective way is to live a life consistent with what you believe. Your parents won't "buy what you advertise" if it does not seem to work in your life. Non-Christian parents are just like everyone else that does not know Jesus. They hurt, have problems, get confused, and are looking for answers. They need forgiveness and help. If they do not see the love and peace of Jesus in your life, it is going to be hard for them to believe He can do anything for them. That does not mean you have to be perfect. It means you know how to admit when your are wrong and ask their forgiveness. It also means you are trying to obey and honor your parents. When you're "walking your talk," God will provide opportunities for you to share your faith with your parents. Don't forget to pray every day for your parents' salvation. Pray that God would help you live consistently for him. Pray that the Holy Spirit would show your parents their sin and their need for Christ.
