![]() Choose the Topic you would like Al to Address: Question 5. What should be the top five priorities in my life? This is a question you will struggle with for the rest of your life. As busy as your life is now, it will only get more complicated later. Its hard to determine your priorities and find a balance you can live with. But you can do it. Make and take a specific plan of action each day. Plan your day or someone else will plan it for you. Schedule how youll use your time, but be open to any interruptions God may bring your way. The top five priorities in your life should be: 1. Your relationship to the Lord--Spend time with him on a daily basis by talking and listening to him. Read, study, and memorize his Word. Get to know God, not just know about him. 2. Your relationship to your family--For now, this priority involves your parents, brothers, and sisters. Later, it may involve a husband or wife and children. The home was Gods first institution. After your relationship to the Lord, your family should come next in importance. 3. Your church--The church is the bride of Christ. She is the one he died for and is coming back for. Dont underestimate the importance of the church in your life. If you are going to have a growing relationship with the Lord, you need to worship, fellowship, serve, and be taught. Only the church can meet these needs. 4. Your school or job--For now, school is the fourth priority. Later, when your education is complete, your job will take its place. Going to school and doing well in a job are important. Work hard and do the best you can, making the most of every opportunity that comes your way. 5. Recreation--Enjoy friends, hobbies, sports, or whatever helps you to relax and stay healthy. This includes social, mental, physical and emotional health. This is the last priority once you meet the first four. A word of advice: dont kill yourself trying to achieve balance. Do the best you can do in Gods strength and relax. |
