Executive Summary
In the United States of America, our current Jr. High and Sr. High School students are under more pressure than any other generation. As the makeup of the family is changing, parents and single parents working very hard to make a living, the lack of moral values and ethics being taught and modeled to the students, it’s understandable why some kids are turning to violence, drugs, and gangs to have their needs met. Today’s students need someone to provide direction and teach them values, ethics and character, and how to apply these attributes into their lives. School systems have an expanded opportunity to not only provide academic guidance, but they can impact a student’s life for years to come. Schools occupy 80% of a student’s time, 9 months out of the year. Schools need our help in this challenge to instill character into their lives by insuring that "Values, Morals and Character" are taught to every student over the next five years.

To achieve this goal we need to have the support of corporations, foundations and individuals throughout the United States. This rider encourages Youth Pastors and concerned adults to take the leadership role to influence other leaders within our communities to accept this challenge.

Objective
To effectively implement a minimum of 6 public school assemblies on "Character; Who are You in the Dark?" and to follow these assemblies up with an evangelistic evening concert by Al Denson to reach students for Christ and successfully partner with local churches to plug students into the church and the Word of God.

Requirements

  1. Pray! Make this event a daily prayer commitment to impact the youth of your community and region. Work hard to make the event successful!

  2. We encourage churches of different denominations to sign on and commit to making this a corporate activity for their church and community.

  3. Establish one committed host church with a senior or youth pastor who will work with Celebration Ministries to spearhead and lead this program. All other churches involved, pastors and lay workers will be accountable to the host .

  4. All churches make this event a priority for the 8 weeks prior to the event. The churches must agree to make this event a corporate activity to mobilize their entire church and youth group, attend the evening concert as a youth group and church, and have students promote the event at their schools through the distribution of flyers, posters, Bible clubs, etc. The students are the HEART of the event .

  5. Schedule Al in a minimum of three (3) public Jr. / Sr. High Schools with a maximum of three (3) assemblies per day. Please submit confirmation of the schools to our office no later than 4 weeks prior to the event .

  6. Secure a NON-CHURCH location for the evening evangelistic concert. The location needs to be a venue that is: a) the gym or auditorium of one of the schools where we have performed an assembly, b) a venue within one of the communities that we have performed a High School Assembly.

  7. Provide local newspaper advertising for event and schedule interviews via radio (if approved by Celebration Ministries).

  8. Provide six (6) men to help with load in, setup, and load-out at each of the three (3) assemblies and the evening concert. Provide twenty (20) encouragers / counselors at the evening concert and agree to follow-up on the decisions made for Christ. Additional individuals will be needed for the following: Ushers (8), Product Sales (4), and Promotional Staff (5).

  9. Provide clear directions and transportation to each school. We will need these directions furnished to Celebration Ministries no later than three (3) weeks prior to the event. Also, please provide Celebration Ministries directions to all the schools and evening concert venue.

  10. Furnish approximate numbers of students we will be in front of at each school and the anticipated attendance of the evening concert no later than (4) weeks prior to the event. This will give Celebration Ministries a better handle on what materials to inventory for your event.

Financial Requirements

  1. The host church, as well as other committed churches, are responsible for the following costs: a) $4,000 honorarium plus $2500 for each additional day of assemblies, b) 3 Hotel rooms & meals for Al & staff for the length of their stay, c) sound production at school assemblies and concert, d) venue rental costs, e) advertising costs to promote event, f) round trip travel expenses/airfare for 3.
